Last Sunday Dario Cologna was elected as “sportsman of the year 2013 of Switzerland”. He is for sure one of the reasons, why cross-country skiing is becoming more and more popular in Switzerland.
The cross-country tracks in the Engadine are open since middle of November. But not only our valley benefits from good snow conditions, all around Switzerland it was possible to open the cross-country tracks. No wonder the numbers of the sold Swiss cross-country passports are ahead from last year’s total.
The Engadin Skimarathon is happy about this development, as it has a positive effect on the number of registrations. At the moment more than 5700 (8% ahead from last year) are registered for the 46th Engadin Skimarathon. We expect more than 8000 registrations by the end of the year.
Are you not signed-up yet? Then register now online and benefit from the best price until 31st December 2013: CHF 100 (€ 83) for the 42 km, CHF 75 (€ 62) for 21 km. For more information contact www.engadin-skimarathon.ch
Merry Christmas to all of you!
