Main distance of the 3rd Tartu Linnamaraton, a 42km race was
won by Tonu Lillelaid with a time of 2:32:52. Half marathon was won by
Kaur Kivistik with a time of 1:09:55.
“Main goal today was to run a personal best time. After 10 kilometres I
realised that this would be improbable and I aimed to hold my place”,
said Lillelaid who managed to pull away from the rest of the group only
after few kilometres. He managed to beat Mario Mustasaar who finished
with a time of 2:34:31.
Half-marathon gathered together three winners from the last year – 42km
winner Ivar Ivanov, 21km winner Raivo Alla and 10km winner Kaur
Kivistik. Those three men managed to pull away just after few
kilometres. Kivistik managed to win with a time of 1:09:55. Alla was
second and Ivanov third.
Annika Vaher was the best female in the marathon distance with a time of
3:09:27. Lily Luik was best in the half-marathon with a time of
1:18:54.
10km Tartu City Run was won by Rauno Laumets with a time of 0:32:10,
Vjatseslav Koselev was second (0:32:45) and Andrus Lein (0:33:14) third.
A total of 2804 runners and nordic walkers took part today in the 3rd Tartu City Marathon.
