XIII traditional international Rostec Demino FIS/Worldloppet Ski Marathon 2020. Day 1.

XIII traditional international Rostec Demino FIS/Worldloppet Ski Marathon 2020. Day 2.

08/02/2015 Dabyduk shines again today!
Weather conditions were about ideal at the start of La Transjurassienne this morning for the 2552 skiers ready for this 37th edition to be disputed over 68 -km. The strong winds that were predicted left way to full on sunshine; but like for the race, there were many changes and rebounds in the weather… The Jura Mountains set the stage for a dominant Blue-White-Red day leaving the Czechs, Swiss, Russians and Italians in the background!
La Transjurassienne 68 km FT / Men
An all-time first for MILLEREAU!
The best of the French specialists were present… La Transjurassienne marked one of its best editions. From the start, the favorites; CHAUVET (Bib.1), BUISSON (Bib.6), MOUGEL (Bib.2), BONALDI (Bib.13), PERRILLAT-COLLOMB (Bib.5) imposed their pace; followed closely by MONDON (Bib.8), MILLEREAU (Bib.9) and BERHAULT (Bib.10). Several relays were passed off, accelerations, gaps… many rebounds and changes went on at the head of the race, finishing in a victory for Jérémie MILLEREAU in 3hours 19min and 35sec; a rising talent in the all new team « Gel Interim Rossignol ».
Distanced at KM 42, in Bellefontaine, MILLEREAU managed to join the head of the race with the help of Thibault MONDON (Bib. 8) who was strong throughout the race and the initiator of the final acceleration in Chaux-Neuve which led the trio into an exciting sprint at the finish in Mouthe. “I felt really strong today and gave nothing up! Everything was perfect; the weather, the glide and the public… an exceptional Transjurassienne!”

La Transjurassienne 68 km FT / Women
New format, same champion: DABUDYK dominates in 3Hours 37min and 59sec!
Aurélie DABUDYK (Bib.151) had already distance her rivals in Les Rousses by a gap of 2 minutes. While behind, the trio composed of the Swiss racer Rahel IMOBERDORF (Bib.154), the French skier Sophie BOILLEY (Bib.156) and the Czech Klara MORAVCOVA (Bib.165) pushed on determined. In Bois d’Amont, the skier from Haute-Savoye increased the gap and headed towards another Transju podium while making her way through the pack of men racers along the way. “Skiing among the men was a definite help and it allowed me to manage my fatigue from the race yesterday” –stated the elated DABUDYK with a radiant smile and adding “See you next year!” The Swiss racer IMOBERDORF admitted to having difficulties with the strong winds but ends her race in an honorable second position. Klara MORAVCOVA completes the winning trio in a sweet third position for her first participation.
