XIII traditional international Rostec Demino FIS/Worldloppet Ski Marathon 2020. Day 1.

XIII traditional international Rostec Demino FIS/Worldloppet Ski Marathon 2020. Day 2.

14/03/2015 Race of international ski friendship

Sergey Turyshev took the golden podium being 00,1 second ahead of Evgeny Dementiev. It was one of the most spectacular and tight fights on the finish line of the Demino Ski Marathon. So the podium became totally Russian. Sprint stars Aleksandr Panzhinsky and Alexey Petukhov, Olympic silver and bronze medalists, showed very good results being 8th and 7th respectively.

On the ladies’ side the results were predictable: Ekaterina Rudakova from Belarus became the first. Olga Mikhailova was a step behind Natalia Zernova who took the silver podium. These ladies have already been the winners of the Demino Ski Marathon before. Bronze Olympic medalist and World champion in ski alpinism and a good friend of the Demino Ski Marathon Natascia Leonardi Cortesi from Switzerland closed the top 6 among ladies.

The Organizing Committee was proud to host Jan Vadlejch from Israel who made his 23rd Master and Arild Ole Herman Roennevig, sitting skier from Norway, who became Global Master finishing the Demino Ski Marathon.

A perfect sunny day with temperatures up to +10 and a very good course made the 50 km FT race a memorable event for over 1500 skiers from 25 countries and 52 regions of Russia.
