Ronice Goebel (Kangaroo Hoppet Board/ President Birkebeiner Nordic Ski Club) (Australia):

Thank you for such a great event! You have a wonderful location on the banks of the mighty Volga River! The atmosphere was friendly and
lively, you made a good and enjoyable course for the skiers, and it was really well organised. I know you have worked so hard after 2014 to ensure this year would be a success.
I would also like to extend my sincere thanks to the Demino Organisation for your hospitality and the opportunity to stay at Demino Hotel and to be so close to the start! It was fantastic. This was especially important for me as I was travelling on my own. The World Loppet Pasta dinner was also good for making contacts with other visitors, so is an important part of your schedule.

The colourful volunteer uniforms really stand out and are a photographers joy! I imagine the volunteers are proud to wear them. I loved the colorful race bibs, the music and the fact that the wide course gave everyone plenty of room so there was no rough pushing. (As a small female, it can be daunting being in the midst of so many men) The downhills stayed in good condition with good run outs and I imagine were safe for most skiers, and your course marshals worked hard to ensure those few wet patches later in the day would survive until the last skier came in. It seemed to me that the participants all enjoyed the event, or were at least proud to have completed it.

I also found everyone very helpful, and in particular Maria who saved me from a lot of anxiety with her cheerful approach to any request. Her excellent English is a great asset and she had a good understanding of issues I had organising transport, so I was very grateful for her assistance. As I said to her, she is a gem!

I can't really complain about anything! The only thing I would suggest is information about what waxing facilities are available, as some people such as myself will prefer to wax their own skis. I think it is teams that rent out the wax cabins so I did not go there. I just needed a power point and a table as I had everything including clamps. Maybe over time you can have other information on your website for visitors, (FAQs) or, it gets added to the World Loppet website. I think for foreign skiers, I would advise to arrive at least on the Thursday, but maybe that is a personal preference.

For foreigners who don't speak the native language where ever they are, it will always be challenging. But part of the fun of World Loppets is new experiences, so we cannot expect everything to be the same. I can only apologise for not speaking Russian, but I did find the electronic translator useful except that I could not book buses or taxis. Maria did that for me!

Thanks again to everyone. I will certainly recommend the Demino Ski Marathon to other skiers.

Sabine and Joerg Goldhahn (Germany):

We were excited to come to the Demino marathon. It was a phantastic experience and we were highly impressed about the excellent organization, the friendly staff, the perfect preparation of the track (even under these conditions with not so much snow). We loved the atmosphere in the stadium with lots of people, power of sound and motivated speakers. We want to thank all the organizers and volunteers to make such a high-level event possible.

All my best wishes to you and your team. Hopefully next time again.

Matti Eeronheimo, Koivukangas Mikko, Ukonmaanaho Sakari, Toppari Pekka, Turunen Veijo, Lauren Peter (Finland):

We are very satisfied to your happening and also we are very pleased of your polite to us. Everything managed perfectly. Greetings to your whole organization.

Timo Hakulinen (Finland):

Dear friends, Thank you for the excellently arranged and very enjoyable ski race! I and the rest of our group truly enjoyed our time at the race and all the other events connected with it! I shall recommend your race to my other friends, too!

All best wishes for success to you and your organization!

Carcano Alessandro natale, Carcano Silvio antonio, Chini Maria rita, Davarda Lino (Italy):

It was a pleasure to do the Demino Ski Marathon for all of us. Thanks to that Alessandro, Silvio and Maria Rita became Global Wordloppet! Lino is missing only one.

All about the race was good organized and also the ski track was well prepared in spite of high temperature. Very wide but technically not difficult.

It was interesting the pasta party and the special welcome for master. We appreciated also a little gift. It was an occasion to meet Alexander and his staff, always ready to answer our questions in the kind mode before and after the race.
The cottage was nice and I think it's a good solution for a little group.
