The second day of the Demino marathon weekend started with a 1 km CT Baby-marathon for children from 4 years old. World Champion Alexey Petukhov brought his 2 and 7-year-old sons to the start to accompany them during the race. 5 km CT and 10 km CT races for juniors followed the Baby-marathon. Totally 400 children took part in the races, and everyone was awarded by a beautiful medal.
Although the weather forecast showed heavy snowfall and rain, the morning was quite bright and the course was smooth and easy for children’s races. Only after the start of the 25 km CT race the weather and course conditions became very challenging. Because of rain, the skiers got wet from the first kilometres of the race.
