On March 1, 25 km silver race took place with the classic technique. Representatives of Russia, the Czech Republic, Finland, Norway, Australia, Sweden, Great Britain, Germany, Italy, Slovenia went to the course. The winner of the main race of the second marathon day was Sergey Artamonov from Kostroma, who covered 25 kilometers in one hour, and Marina Chernousova from the Sakhalin Region, who reached the finish line after 1 hour and 9 minutes.
The main race of the second marathon day began at 11 o’clock. Participants started from four starting waves with an interval of three minutes. Among the first to go the distance was the winner of Sochi 2014 Olympics in the team sprint, three-time world champion Nikita Kryukov and the bronze medalist of the Vancouver Olympics Nikolai Morilov, the winner of the XIII Rostec Demino ski marathon gold race Raul Shakirzyanov.
The oldest participant was 97-year-old Norwegian Hoeeg Jan Thomas. He has been skiing since he was five years old. This is his second visit to Russia, both times he came to a sports ski event.
“I don’t expect any special results from the race, maybe I'll be back on foot,” said the Norwegian skier.
And so it happened. On the first kilometers of the course, he stepped out of the race, but received the medal of the marathoner for loyalty to the sport.
Throughout the race in a classic style, the leading group walked tightly. Evgeny Tsepkov literally led the peloton. A heated struggle unfolded in the finish line, maintaining intrigue until the last moment. The three winners overcame the distance in one hour. Only a split second decided the fate of the first place. The winner was the representative of the Kostroma region Sergey Artamonov.

Evgeny Tsepkov improved his result at the Rostec Demino ski marathon silver race, in 2019 he was a bronze medalist.
The third came to the finish line representative of the Yaroslavl region Maxim Cherezov.
The first among women was the silver medalist of the 50 km race Marina Chernousova. Her result at a classic distance was 1 hour 9 minutes.
- I'm on the course for the second day. The girls cheered me up first. In general, my tactics today were to enjoy: beautiful weather, excellent course, what else does a skier need? - stressed the winner of the women's classification.
Olga Rumyantseva made a silver double on 25 km race, in 2019 she also climbed the second step of the podium. This year, her result was 1 hour 10 seconds. Oksana Yakovleva, a sportswoman from the Yaroslavl region, lost ten tenths of a second to Olga and took the third place.
