Tartu Ski Relay (http://tartumaraton.ee/tartu-relay-marathon)
is a race for teams that was held for the first time in 2012. Having
altogether 105 teams, the first Tartu Ski Relay proved to be a great
success bringing together friends, family, sportsmen and colleagues.
Indrek
Kelk, Race Director of the 42nd Tartu Maraton believes that Tartu Ski
Relay is suitable for all who are team players as well as to those who
want to improve their skills in teamwork. “Teamwork is so much more than
just office meetings. It is something that takes other’s
weaknesses
and strengths into consideration and helps to achieve mutual goals
together,” says Kelk and adds that this is one of the reasons for
4-member teams to take part in the 2nd Tartu Ski Relay.
Team work
is for example one of the reasons why Raivo Külasepp, Farmer of the
Year 2012, leader of AS Grüne Fee Eesti has decided to bring his
colleagues to the race. “I believe that taking part in outdoor
activities as a team helps to make workplace a better place. It helps to
bring together colleagues as well as give one a good health. This is
the reason why I have decided to take my co-workers to the 2nd Tartu Ski
Relay,” says Külasepp.
Tartu Ski Relay takes place on the 10th
of February along with Tervis Pluss 12th Tartu Maraton Ladie’s Race and
Open Track 63, 31 and 16 km races, one week before 42nd Tartu Maraton,
7th race of the FIS Marathon Cup.
