Once again this year, 23 nationalities are registered so far in the various races and over 3,700 recreational skiers and champions are taking up la Transjurassienne challenge.
As of today, all the conditions are met for the historical track finishing in Mouthe. These last weeks’ abundant snow falls confirm the positive trend, and the final decision will be made with the State Representatives on February 4 and announced at the press conference from the “Hôtel de Région” at 1 pm.

The favorites will be there, as always!
On the Elites’ side, the formidable Italian team is registered in the 76km FT FIS Marathon Cup, with Sergio BONALDI, 2nd in 2012, and his teammate Sergio SANTUS (2nd in 2011 and 3rd in 2010), both seeking revenge. The Czech Martin KOUKAL, the Nordic Skiing World Champion in 2003 and 3rd in the 76km FT in 2012 is also dreaming of victory and coveting the first place!
On the French side, the 2 bothers Benoît and Pierre CHAUVET (5th in 2011) from Haute-Savoie will
also participate and Benoît will strive to relive his 2011 victory. Frédéric JEAN, Xavier THEVENARD
(1st in the 2011 Transju’trail) and his brother Jean-Marie (2nd in the 2011 Transju’trail) from
Franche-Comté will also be present.
In the Women’s 57km FIS Marathon Cup, the Ukrainian Valentina SHEVCHENKO, the winner in
2012, will face strong competitors such as the Estonian Tatjiana MANIMAA (3rd in 2012), second in
the FIS Marathon Cup general ranking after last weekend, and quite motivated to step to the
highest place on the podium and to recover her lead in the general ranking. The Swiss Ursina
BADILATTI will also be there, along with the Italian Olympic Medalist Antonella CONFORTELA, 3rd in
the 2012 Dolomitenlauf and 1st in the 2011 Engadin Skimarathon.

Please note that the favorites’ start list will only be confirmed a few days before the great
Transjurassienne week-end.
In La Transjurassienne 50km CT, Jérémy WEIBEL from Les Vosges and the winner in 2012, will
defend his title against another skier from Les Vosges, Igor Cuny, the rollerski and cross-country skiing undisputed champion. Gaétane PERRET from the Jura (3rd in 2012 and 1st in 2011) is ready to fight to win back the first place. The Ultra-Trans will meet the expectations of the ultra-skiers with a taste for the extreme! This demanding challenge will be taken up by the most experienced skiers ready to cumulate 2 races in 2 days: the 50km CT on Saturday added to the 76km FT on Sunday. Winner in 2012, Sébastien ISENMANN from Les Vosges will try once more to finish first, just like Sacha DEVILLAZ (2nd in 2012) who will also fight for a 1st place. On the Women’s side, Perrine
BLANC and Florence GOLAY-GEYMOND respectively 2nd and 3rd in 2012, will compete for victory.
All the Senators (12 in total) will be present for this 35th edition, along with 40 Grand’Ambassadors
