Igor Samoylov, the director of Demino Marathons, discussed this issue with village activists. As a result of the meeting, residents supported the proposed option for temporarily blocking the road from March 1 to March 6.
The meeting was also attended
representatives of the administration of the Rybinsk region, traffic police officers, the head of the Nazarovsky rural settlement. The need to block traffic on the road that leads to the settlements of Sedlovo, Vasilevo, Belovskoye arises annually in connection with the Rostec Demino ski marathon.
Local residents are experiencing inconvenience and difficulty with travel. To reduce them to a minimum, changes were made to the configuration of the track this year. Now it does not go along the public road, but only crosses it in four places. However, the need to restrict movement remains. This is necessary to equip the track: to bring additional snow to the crossing points, to form a cushion so that the participants do not damage the skis.
- This is an old question that needs to be addressed. We are interested in a constructive dialogue and regularly communicate with active residents of Sedlovo, Vasilevo and Belovskoye. We understand that people face inconveniences, so we try to resolve any difficulties that arise promptly. Changing the configuration is one of the effective measures. As a result, the road is cleaned in winter, and skiers have the opportunity to ski in a circle of 25 km with minor restrictions associated with crossing the road,” said Igor Samoylov.
Residents noted that they understand the significance of the event for the entire region, and expressed their consent to the blocking of traffic. The overlap period is from March 1 to March 6, 2023.
The Organizing Committee of the Demino Ski Marathon thanks the residents for their active participation, interaction and support of sports.
