The country's biggest ski marathon is once again expecting a star-studded troop. Members of the Russian national team, Olympic champions and medalists, winners of previous years and experienced marathon runners will take to the start of the main 50-kilometer race. The spectators are again waiting for a vivid struggle and, probably, a new record of the track.
Members of the Russian national team Alexander Bolshunov, Denis Spitsov and Alexey Chervotkin have confirmed their participation in the 17th Rostec Demi Ski Marathon. The composition of the women's and youth team will soon be determined by coach Egor Sorin. Olympic bronze medalist Nikolay Morilov will take part in the 50 kilometers. Last year's gold medal winner Andrei Alipkin and marathoner Raul Shakirzyanov will compete for the leadership. Vancouver bronze medalist Natalya Korosteleva is planning to take part in the 25 km classic style distance. The famous skier promised to bring all her sons, including Saveliy, who is already a two-time world junior champion.
- The line-up of participants of the XVII Rostec Demino Ski Marathon will traditionally be strong and interesting. Over the history of its existence it has become an event brand of the Yaroslavl region and one of the main starts in the world of amateur skiing. We are preparing a rich program for spectators. We pay special attention to safety measures, - said the Governor of the Yaroslavl region Mikhail Evraev.
Track and field athletes are planning to create competition for skiers. This year more than 300 people applied for the Demino Ski Marathon to try themselves in a new sport. An innovation of the XVII Rostec Demino Ski Marathon will be team scoring in the races.
- The president of Russialoppet, Georgy Kadykov-Orbeliani, has agreed to organize a club scoring. Teams are formed independently on the basis of interests. The marathon team "Russian Winter" has already sent an application. Those who wish can gather a team of like-minded people from different cities and regions and make a worthy competition to the ski elite, - said Igor Samoylov, director of the Demino Marathons.
Rostec Demino Ski Marathon is the most mass ski marathon in Russia. It will be held on March 1, 2 and 3 in the Demino ski and biathlon center in the Yaroslavl region. More than 4500 amateur and professional skiers from eight countries and 57 regions of Russia have already applied for participation in six races of the program.

Rostec Demino Ski Marathon is the most mass ski marathon in Russia. The leader of the Russialoppet rating by the number of finishers in the main race. In the 2023 season, the winners of the Demino Ski Marathon at a distance of 50 km were Andrei Alipkin and Elizaveta Pantrina. The course record - 1 hour 44 minutes and 3 seconds - on the marathon distance belongs to Olympic champion Alexander Bolshunov. The general partner of the competition is Rostec State Corporation.
