On March 3, the third day of the XVII Rostec Demino Ski Marathon, the youngest participants of the marathon program took to the track. There was a baby marathon, in which children aged 4 to 8 started, and a 2 kilometer race for skiers aged 8 to 10. 

- Races-satellites of the main marathon starts at 50 and 25 kilometers allow many more people to become participants of the sports festival, to develop continuity, to raise the ski change. All this makes the Demino Marathon a full-fledged family festival. And now the marathon program covers all ages, races continue to gain popularity, every year we increase the number of slots, - said Igor Samoilov, SNP "Demi Marathons". 

Participants of children's races came to Demino from different parts of the country - Arkhangelsk, Tver, Murmansk, Moscow, Vologda regions, there are representatives of Nizhny Novgorod. A lot of young skiers from the Yaroslavl region and the city of Rybinsk. 

- Taking into account the large number of participants of children's races, they were divided into two starts. "Baby" - by age, participants in the two-kilometer race - on boys and girls. This made it possible to ensure a safe start for all participants," explained Svetlana Emelina, supervisor of the Rostec Demino Marathon children's races. 

The youngest athletes - Eva Bolshunova and Vera Kadykova-Orbeliani - came to the start with their fathers and rode the entire kilometer distance in their arms. The children of Olympic medalists also took part in the children's races
