On February 10 and 11, the traditional Demino Classic competitions were held on the tracks of the Rostec International Demino Ski Marathon. The five races were attended by 189 athletes and amateurs from Yaroslavl, Vologda, Ivanovo, Kostroma, Novosibirsk, Moscow and Moscow regions.
On February 10, 74 athletes came to the start of the night race with lanterns. The best on the fifteen-kilometer distance were athletes from the Vologda region Mikhail Melentyev, who finished with the result 00:47:22, and Ksenia Petrushkova, who overcame the distance in 00:40:56.
"Demino Classics are very interesting competitions. They allow everyone to try themselves on a feasible distance, to assess their readiness next to the strongest skiers of the Yaroslavl region and neighboring regions. The night race is such an interesting feature of the Demino Classic that attracts participants to us, - said Igor Samoylov, Director of the Demino Marathons SNP.
The tracks of the classics run on a marathon circle of 25 kilometers. This was a test of their readiness for the Rostec Demino Marathon - a competition of international level.
On February 11 there were races at 5, 10, 15 and 30 km in classic style.
Maria Eppinger (Yaroslavl) and Vyacheslav Smirnov (Rybinsk) were the best in the 5 km race.
In the 10 km race Olga Kotugina (Yaroslavl) and Pavel Dratinsky (Pereslavl-Zalessky) finished first.
At the distance of 15 km the best result went to Nikita Levichev (Vologda) and Alena Kirillova (Yaroslavl).
Ivan Shemyakin from Yaroslavl became the absolute winner of the 30 km race.
The organizers of the competition are Demino Marathons, Sports School №4 of Rybinsk and Kocha-Sport Club.
