We contacted Nikita to congratulate him on his new title and to find out more details.
The discipline of obstacle course racing has become an official sport with the possibility to fulfil grades and titles. Nikita took fifth place in the 3+ kilometre race in Belgium and was awarded the title of Candidate Master of Sport in obstacle course racing, and in the mixed race the team led by Nikita became the first.
As a rule, in this sport there is a short distance of 3+ (at least 3 kilometres), which includes at least 20 obstacles and a long distance of 12+ (at least 12 kilometres), which has at least 50 obstacles. Also included in the obstacle race is a 100 metre discipline, the so-called ninja streak.
"I've been racing since 2019, as soon as I officially finished my ski career, and I'm still running, coaching, competing. Gradually bringing the national team to success. I am combining my coaching work and my role as an active athlete."
