To ensure the safety of visitors to the country's biggest ski marathon, there is a mandatory free spectator registration. The procedure is simple and will not take much time, and the code received will be valid for all three days of the competition. Registration runs from January 30 to February 22 on the RussiaRunning platform.
Mandatory spectator registration for major sporting events has been in effect in the Yaroslavl Region since 2023. It was first introduced during the Champions Cup freestyle stage in Podolino. According to the decision of the anti-terrorist commission of the Yaroslavl region, similar measures are required during the Rostec Demino ski marathon.
- We realize the importance of security measures and are interested in eliminating possible risks for participants and spectators. We carried out mandatory registration of fans last year, gained the necessary experience and took into account the comments. Practice has shown that there are no special difficulties in registration, but we recommend to register in advance to avoid peak loads on the platform, - said Igor Samoyov, Director of the Demi Marathons SNP.
To register for the XVII Rostec Demi Ski Marathon on the main page on the RussiaRunning platform, you need to create a personal account or log in to an existing one with your password. Then enter the following query in the search box: "Registration of fans for the XVII Rostec Demino Ski Marathon 2024". Go to the event page and select the category: "Fans of Rostec Demino Ski Marathon 2024". The required data will either be automatically entered from your personal account or you will need to specify them additionally. After clicking on the "Continue" button, the "Shopping cart" will open with the order specification. Registration is free, so it is enough only to confirm the order of an individual code, and it will come to the specified phone number and e-mail.
-For convenience there is a function "Register a friend". With its help you can get a code for older people who do not use the Internet and do not have e-mail. They will receive the code in the form of a text message on their cell phone. Registration of fans of the XVII Rostec Demino Ski Marathon will last until February 28 and will end at 12:00, - said Deputy Director of "RussiaRunningEvents" Victoria Lobanova.
The individual code is valid during all three days of the competition. Spectators will receive a special fan bracelet. You can get the bracelets in advance at the distribution points or directly on March 1, 2 and 3 at the Demino Center. Volunteers will give them out at the upper parking lot and approaches to Demino. The fan bracelet is also valid during all three days of the marathon. The list of issuing points will be announced additionally by the Organizing Committee.
Registration is required for spectators from 14 years old. Parents accompanying the participants of the baby marathon and juniors must also receive an individual code and a fan bracelet to enter the territory of LBC Demino. Participants of all races do not need to register additionally. They will receive an SMS-message with the code on the phone specified by them when buying a slot for the marathon. Upon presentation of this message and passport, volunteers will issue a participant's bracelet, which is different in color from the fan's bracelet.
Rostec Demino Ski Marathon is the most mass ski marathon in Russia. The leader of the Russialoppet rating in terms of the number of finishers in the main race. In the 2023 season, the winners of the Demino Ski Marathon at a distance of 50 km were Andrei Alipkin and Elizaveta Pantrina. The course record on the marathon distance belongs to Olympic champion Alexander Bolshunov. The general partner of the competition is Rostec State Corporation.
