- The Demino ski marathon is growing and scaling. Every year we increase the number of places, and every time there are even more applicants. The marathon has become overcrowded in a two-day format, so we decided to extend it and hold a ski festival with a rich sports and cultural program. The redistribution of starts for three days will create comfortable conditions for marathon runners and fans and attract even more people to skiing, - said Igor Samoylov, director of Demino Marathons.
Due to the increase in the number of days, the organizers have the opportunity to introduce additional types of races - 5 and 10 kilometers freestyle. They will be held on the first day of the festival on March 3. On March 4, the start of the “golden” 50-kilometer race will take place. Traditionally, it will become the most massive in terms of the number of participants. This year, all 2800 slots ended almost a month and a half before the start. To ensure a comfortable start and passage of the route by the participants, the number and number of starting waves is changing.
March 5 is the day of "classics". It will be opened by the youngest participants of the baby marathon at a distance of 1 km. The older guys will overcome two kilometers. Then they will be replaced by adults in the 25 km silver race in classic style.
