The largest marathon in Russia will be held at the Demino Ski and Biathlon Center from March 1-3. Everyone can become a spectator and supporter of the sporting event and greet the participants from the rostrum. Entrance is free of charge, by electronic registration.
A month before the start, 4,442 people have registered to take part in the races designed for different ages and levels of training. Free slots for adult races - 50, 25, 10 and 5 kilometers are still left. For children's races - the baby marathon and two-kilometer distance, all are occupied.
- The marathon will again be held over three days - March 1, 2, 3. This format was tested last year, it showed its convenience and demand, so it will be continued. It allows to relieve the burden on the participants, areas and infrastructure. We expect about 1200 participants to start on March 1, 3000 on March 2 and 1350 on March 3, - said Igor Samoylov, Director of the Demino Marathons.
The most massive will be the "golden" marathon race at 50 kilometers. Representatives of eight countries will take part in it: Russia, Kazakhstan, Belarus, Georgia, Azerbaijan, Cyprus, Romania, Slovakia. Russia will be represented by 58 regions.
Along with the competition program the preparation of cultural and entertainment events is underway, so that the fans, having seen off the athletes at the start, could spend an interesting time waiting for the bright finish.
- The Demino Marathon is a family holiday, an opportunity for adults to cheer for their children and for children to support their parents on long distances. Everyone can participate and be saturated with sports and festive atmosphere, - said the head of Rybinsk Dmitry Rudakov.
Spectators will see concert numbers, participate in an interactive program. Also for them will work a fair of souvenirs, sporting goods and gastronomic festival.
